LUNENBURG COUNTY MULTI-PURPOSE CENTRE CORPORATION
TENDER

#LCMPCC2012-001 General Contract Tender for the New
Lunenburg County Lifestyle Centre, Bridgewater, Nova Scotia.

Two part tenders in separate sealed envelopes are to be delivered to the Bridgewater Town Office, 60 Pleasant Street, Bridgewater, N.S. as follows:

Part 1 submission must be submitted on a Lunenburg County Multi-Purpose Centre Corporation tender form, in a sealed envelope clearly marked with the Tender Name and Number and the Bidder's Name; this must be received by the undersigned prior to 1 p.m. local time, February 2, 2012. Addendum:  the closing date for the tender is now February 14, 2012.  

Part 2 submission containing the List of Subcontractors on the Lunenburg County Multi-Purpose Centre Corporation form, in a sealed envelope clearly marked with the Tender Name and Number and the Bidder's Name; this must be received by the undersigned prior to 3 p.m. local time, February 2, 2012. Addendum:  the closing date for the tender is now February 14, 2012.  

The tenders will be publicly opened in the Town of Bridgewater Office, 60 Pleasant Street, Bridgewater, NS at 3:10 p.m., local time on the closing date.

One set of tender Drawings, Specifications and/or particulars are available at a cost of $100.00 starting Monday, January 16 , 2012 and may be obtained from the Project Manager at 7071 Bayer's Rd., Suite 5007, Halifax, N.S., or from the Town Office, 60 Pleasant Street, Bridgewater, NS. Bidders requiring additional sets of drawings may purchase same from Wade Atlantic, Halifax, 902-429-6547 ext 2228. Also note that drawings and specifications are available for review at the Construction Association of Nova Scotia at Burnside, Dartmouth, N.S. and at the Town office. You may contact Isobel Leslie at 902-541-4374 or Siew Secord at 902-488-1388 to arrange for viewing.

There will be a mandatory contractors meeting for all participating General Contractors at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at the site, corner of North Park St. and Wentzell Drive, Bridgewater, NS.

Bidders are reminded that Bonding or Surety Deposit as described in the Instructions to Bidders must be submitted with this tender.    

The Lunenburg County Multi-Purpose Centre Corporation reserves the right to reject any or all tenders, not necessarily accept the lowest tender, or to not accept any tender(s) which it may consider not to be in its best interest. The Corporation also reserves the right to waive formality, informality or technicality in any tender.

Sealed RFP will be received by the undersigned up to 2 p.m., local time at September 15, 2011 for the following:

 #LCMPCC2011-005 Provision of Testing & Inspection Services for the new Lunenburg County Lifestyle Centre

 RFP documents are to be delivered to the Town Offices, 60 Pleasant Street, Bridgewater, N.S. Proposal must be submitted on a Lunenburg County Multi-Purpose Centre Corporation RFP form in a sealed envelope clearly marked with the RFP name and number. Specifications and/or particulars may be obtained from the Project Manager at the 7071 Bayers Rd., Suite 5007, Halifax, N.S. at a cost of $100.00.

As General Manager, you will report to a Board of Directors and have responsibility for overall management of the facility including:  human resources, marketing and public relations, operations, risk management, finances, program and event management and governance.  As well, during the construction phase, you will be instrumental in the setup of the facility including initial hiring, programming, promotions, systems and community relations.
