Hatha Flow Yoga
This class is designed to create breath awareness, enhance balance, and increase flexibility & strength using traditional yoga movements and postures to increase range of motion of the major joints. Alignment principles, breathing techniques, and classic poses will be taught at a slow to moderate pace with modifications for minor physical limitations. Flow or “vinyasa” means moving from one pose to another in sequence, pausing in certain poses for up to five breaths. Sun salutations open the class followed by standing postures, then some seated, followed by poses on the back and on the front of the body ending with some relaxation and meditation. Hatha Flow Yoga is appropriate for all levels including 50’s+, those new to yoga, and for students who are seeking a gentle to moderate level of challenge.
