The Lunenburg County Lifestyle Centre offers a variety of Aquatic Leadership courses designed for individuals seeking advanced lifesaving training and certification. Whether you are working toward becoming a lifeguard or looking to enhance your aquatic skills, our programs provide the challenge and expertise you're looking for.
Prerequisites:
Bronze Medallion:
- 13 years of age and / or Bronze Star Certification
Bronze Cross
- Completion of Bronze Medallion and Standard First Aids Certifications
National Lifeguard Course
- 15 years of age and completion of Bronze Cross
Swim for Life Instructor Course
- 15 years of age and completion of Bronze Cross
CALA Aquafit Training Courses - Canadian Aquafitness Leaders Alliance (CALA) - encourages facilities to host in-house, customized training for staff and community members. Professional instructors deliver a wide range of accredited continuing education workshops and specialty certification programs to meet unique needs.

Sensory Friendly Swim:
A unique swim experience open to all ages and individuals who would benefit from a sensory-friendly environment. The pool will be exclusively available, and the initiative is presented by the Municipality of the District of Lunenburg in collaboration with the South Shore Chapter of Autism Nova Scotia.

Women & Girls Swim:
An inclusive program presented in partnership with the Municipality of the District of Lunenburg. Open to women and girls of all ages, as well as those under 5 years of age regardless of gender identity.
Schedule: Wednesdays 7pm to 8pm
Cost: Free with no pre-registration required.
